About JLS
Jerry Luck School of Music’s roots go back to the East Detroit Conservatory of Music, which was established in 1949. Jerry Luck started as a teacher there in 1960, quickly rising through the ranks to become its studio director and vice president, before leaving to pursue his own projects in 1976. Jerry returned to the East Detroit Conservatory of Music in 1982, changing the name to “Jerry Luck Studios;” it remained at that location for twelve years.
In 1994, Jerry Luck Studios moved to its present location, where it continues to serve community. With years of professional experience behind it, JLS stands for the highest ideals in music education, modern teaching methods and facility, motivational programs, quality instruments, and service. JLS’s students achieve success because they are given a goal and the means to attain it.
Jerry Luck Studios is a member of NAMM(the National Association of Music Merchants),the American Guild of Music, and the Eastpointe Chamber of Commerce. JLS advocates for all activities that bring music teaching to the highest level.
